Erasable ink

Counterfeits are frequently produced by means of chemical or mechanical erasure, whereby the originally printed information, such as a validity date, is removed. Tampering can be rendered visible by using erasable ink, which is rubbed away with the printed information when an attempt is made to manipulate the document.
