The Innotrans, leading international trade fair for transport technology and fare management systems, set two new records with 126,110 trade visitors from 140 countries and 2,515 exhibitors from 49 countries.

Matthias Oelenberg, head of ticket and security printing sales at Diagramm Halbach, is evidently very satisfied with the fair: "The demand for security solutions revolving around tickets and thermal paper was higher this year than ever before.“ 

Highly resistant thermal papers with chemically reactive planchettes that react to tampering attempts attracted a great deal of interest, as did hologram solutions and new security inks, which respond to body heat, test pens or test devices. 

New solutions in ticket design with the high security software used to design banknotes were the subject of particular discussion. These offer a very inexpensive means of preventing tickets being copied or reproduced. 

The ticket specialists demonstrated their close cooperation with leading equipment manufacturers by presenting a 4-roll thermal printer for ticket vending machines and an advance booking solution with thermal tickets that use the new temperature-stable barcodes to secure ticket logistics.
